My Journey to Quit Smoking: Week 9, Day 63

November 20th, 2018

Tuesday

I thought about my journey to quit smoking all night last night and all day today, and I have decided that this is a good stopping point…for now.

Two months ago I was smoking 31 grams of tobacco daily. That was a lot, and now I have successfully weaned myself down to 1 gram daily. I have also stopped smoking cigarettes and switched to a pipe, which is a much healthier option in my opinion. I also feel so much better than I did when I was smoking 31 cigarettes a day!

I am not saying that this is the end of my journey, but this is a stopping point for the time being. I plan to stay here, smoking 1 gram of tobacco + herbal smoking blends, for a while. I will continue to try different herbal teas, herbal smoking blends, and other therapies and techniques that may help. I will never give up though! I will win this battle and be nicotine free someday, but I know that today is not that day and I’m okay with that.

I plan to post about my journey from time to time, and I will definitely post about it when I find an herb or something else that works for me.

I hope y’all have a blessed Thanksgiving and pray that God will bless you and your family. Have a safe trip if you plan to travel!
