Day 20 of My Journey to Quit Smoking πŸ’š

Day 20: October 8th, 2018

12:30 p.m. Today I woke up around 11:30 a.m. with a head full of snot, irritating dryness in the area where my sinuses meet my throat, and feeling like crud. My son had these same symptoms about a 7-11 days ago, so my guess is he shared it with me. Haha. Thanks, son.

So my plan for today is to stay in bed, drink a lot of water, take my elderberry syrup every 2-3 hours, and drink some herbal teas. I’m so thankful that I taught my daughters how to make a proper cup of herbal tea. I’m sure they will be a big help today.

So far I have smoked 4 cigarettes, while drinking my one cup of coffee for the day. Anyway, I need to get back in bed for now. I’ll talk to y’all later.

11:00 p.m. I have now smoked 10 cigarettes. I’ve been sleeping and resting today, so it wasn’t hard to ignore the cravings. Haha. I have been drinking a lot of water, eating ice cream, and taking the Ricola sore throat drops my husband picked up for me. Hopefully tomorrow I will be feeling much better.

Anyway, I think I’m going to get off of here and go back to bed. I’ll talk to y’all tomorrow. Goodnight and God bless. ❀️

  1. Spending the day caring for you, unintentionally due to illness, caused you to smoke less. Isn’t that interesting? xxx
