Day 16 of My Journey to Quit Smoking 💚
Day 16: October 4th, 2018
7:19 p.m. Today I woke up around 4:45 a.m., made some coffee, smoked a cigarette, and did my #thefives prayer time + reading/workbook + bible study.
It was a good morning, but I was having a lot of cravings this morning. I ended up smoking 5 cigarettes by 7:45 a.m. I tried to space the others out and stay busy, hoping that would do the trick and help me control the cravings, but it didn’t work out so well.
I smoked at 10 a.m., 11:37 a.m., 12:45 p.m., and then I laid down for a nap. I tossed and turned until 2:00 p.m. and fell asleep not long after 2:00 p.m. I woke up from my nap around 5:30 p.m. (I guess I was super tired?) and smoked two more cigarettes around 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Today is just not a good day for me + my cravings. I don’t know what the deal is. Maybe it has something to do with my hormones? I am about to start my menstrual cycle, so I know my hormones are crazy right now. Haha. I’ve been kind of rude today too, and I hate being rude.
I don’t know.
All I know is that more than likely I will smoke more than my goal amount, which is not good, but hopefully tomorrow I can get back on track.
I plan to make some herbal teas for tomorrow morning + afternoon, since that time frame seems to be the peak times for my cravings. I also plan to make some more herbal products to keep myself busy.
Today I got a lot of my products labeled, so they are 100% ready for the Firefly Art Festival, which is awesome. Anyway, I’m going to get off of here for now, but I will update this blog post before I hit the hay. I’ll talk to y’all later.
10:20 p.m. I have now smoked 15 cigarettes. 5 more than my goal. I am not happy with myself, but I know that tomorrow is a new day and I can try again to meet my goal. I hope y’all have a good night and God bless.
