A lot of people don’t understand how busy the homeschool mom is.
Let me share a few things we do on a daily basis:
Well, that’s actually quite a bit more than a few! I could go on, I’m sure, but I think you get the idea. 😉
After our homeschool day is finished, the chores are done, and our bellies are full then it’s time for my munchkins bedtime routine.
Their bedtime routine begins at 9:00 pm and ends at 10:30 pm. Once they are all ready for bed, I like to read my munchkins a fairy tale, say our family prayer, and tuck in each kiddo.
Then it’s Momma time…unless Daddy is home! 😉
If Daddy is home, I usually watch a movie with him and then do my own thing after he’s tucked in and snoring.
If Daddy isn’t home, then I usually spend about about 30 minutes to an hour on the computer (blogging, facebook, Pinterest, etc.). After I’m finished with the computer I enjoy watching an episode of Criminal Minds and then spending time with God through Bible study, devotional, and prayer. I also enjoy a little light reading before I hit the hay.
There have been bad days, we all have one of those days here and there. When I’ve had a really bad day, I’ll open a bottle of wine and drink a glass to help me relax. There have also been times when I’m so worn out; I skip the computer and just spend time with God, falling asleep during my prayer. Then there are the really bad nights, nights when my brain doesn’t want to rest. These are the nights when my light reading turns into an all night reading-fest!
I guess it just all depends on this crazy Momma brain of mine and what type of day we’ve had! Ha! 😉
I wouldn’t trade my life for the world though! I’m truly blessed by God in so many ways and I thank Him each and every day for this wonderful journey!
Here’s to all the super busy homeschool moms out there…may your days be full of sweet memories and may you have sweet dreams each night! 💜
God Bless 💜
