My son (and oldest child) is usually the one to begin this conversation with “When I grow up I’m going to…”.
I love moments like this…when we are all daydreaming together…it creates a special bond between momma and child.
My son, of course, always has plans to be either an inventor, engineer or designer. Today it was vehicle designs. He was pointing out various vehicles and stating what he would change about them. He is really quite brilliant about this type of stuff…and I’m not being partial. He literally blows my mind and I’m usually deemed speechless due his knowledge of subjects that I have no clue, whatsoever, about. Nevertheless, that is when he said “You know what I want to be when I grow up? A vehicle designer.” while grinning ear to ear. I respond with “I better be the first person to drive around your new design!” while grinning ear to ear. Yes, I’m proud that he has FINALLY found things that interest him! I have never seen him so eager to learn and that makes my heart sing.
My oldest daughter was the next to voice her dream. She wants to be a veterinarian. She has such a big, kind heart and she especially loves animals of all kinds. Whether it’s the toad they found in the backyard, a baby bird that fell out of a tree or her little tiny teacup poodle…she shows them all nothing but kindness and love. I know in my heart she will excel at this practice and she will be very happy doing so.
And last, but not least, my youngest daughter voiced her dream. She wants to be a “Homeschool Mom and that’s it!” She literally said those words. Out of all my kiddos she is the most blunt. She says what’s on her mind no matter where we are and she is very spirited. So, I have no doubt in my mind she will make an excellent homeschool momma.
Needless to say, I am one happy, happy, happy Momma today. I’m happy that my kiddos dream and some dream BIG! I love that they all crave knowledge and love learning! I guess this goes to prove that I must be doing something right. Thank you God, for this blessed day and for showing me that I’m on the right path! 💚
God is good, all the time! 💚
