As I sit here with my never-ending pile of socks to fold (the chore that I absolutely loathe) I wonder “When will this ever end?” Am I the ONLY one that has this thought? Probably not. There are probably several mommas out there who hate one chore or another. But have you ever thought about what it would be like to not have chores at all? I did and it almost scared me to death!
What if you didn’t have TONS of tiny socks to fold? What if you didn’t have fifty million cups to wash because your children need a clean cup EVERY SINGLE TIME they get a drink? What if you didn’t have three extra beds to make up each morning? What if you didn’t have sticky handprints all over everything? What if you didn’t have all these mundane duties to do each and every day?
Then you wouldn’t have tiny feet pitter-pattering around making a cute little drum beat for you to hum a tune to. Then you wouldn’t have slobber kisses to fill your heart with joy. Then you wouldn’t have tiny little knees lined up along that bed to say prayers with every night. Then you wouldn’t have tiny little hands to hold that send love with each and every squeeze. You wouldn’t have any of these “mundane duties” because you wouldn’t have these extraordinary little children under your roof!
Who wishes for that?!? Not this momma.
Now this momma is thankful for these tiny little socks that belong to the greatest gifts God has ever given her. 💗
