This quote is definitely one to live by. ❤️
I see those parents all the time…you know, the ones who have their children’s lives all mapped out. They drive me bonkers, to say the least. I mean, don’t get me wrong, it’s good to wish well for your children but taking away their freedom and brainwashing them to believe they can only be in a certain profession is just wrong.
I do not want my children to take the same path I took, I want mine to go further than I could have ever dreamt possible. But more than that, I want them to be happy.
Yes, happy. 😊
True success, in my opinion, is happiness.
I wanted to be an artist or art teacher, I even had a full ride to the university I was attending, but that plan fell through when I couldn’t find a job, so I moved back home. Then I met my husband and became a stay at home momma. Am I happy? Absolutely! ❤️
I want my children to know that even when their plans fall through, there is always another path to take.
I want my children to know that if God closes a door, He will always have another one open and ready for them to pass through.
I want my children to know that college is not required to be happy.
I want my children to know that whatever path they take…whether it be a stay at home mom, doctor, lawyer, mechanic, gunsmith, soldier…I will be proud of them.
I want my children to be proud of what they do and have good work ethics.
I want my children to be kind hearted, honest, and have integrity.
I want my children to be good, strong Christians.
I want my children to be happy. ❤️
