When spring time rolls around we have all the end of public school festivities…awards ceremonies, graduations, etc. This year we also have dance recitals, VBS, basketball camps, music camps…and so on. So, needless to say, we have been some very busy little bees.
This year we had three cousins graduating high school and two of my nieces had awards ceremonies.
While attending these “end of school” festivities I found myself questioning my homeschooling decision. I was asking myself “Will my kiddos be missing out on all these things?” “Will my kiddos regret not being able to go through the graduation process at a public school?”
Then God sent the answers to my unspoken questions through my kiddos.
That evening, while praying before supper, my youngest daughter thanked God for being able to homeschool and for all of our new books. Later that night, right before bedtime, my son asked if he could work on his math lessons (a subject he used to hate) and of course my daughters joined in…they wanted to work too.
God definitely has a plan for my family and part of that wonderful plan is to homeschool. I have learned that I just have to hand it all over to Him…all my worries, my frustrations, my strife. I don’t know why I didn’t think to lay our homeschooling journey in His hands, being as I rely on Him for everything else in my life.
So the newest lesson this Momma has learned is to literally hand everything over to Him. ❤️
