The Blessings of being an Herbalist
I’m so thankful God called upon me to help people. Helping people truly fills my cup and makes my heart happy. I didn’t know exactly how I was going to help people in the beginning though, I just knew I was supposed to help people.
Through years of studying herbs, enrolling in the The Herbal Academy, and completing the Introductory & Intermediate courses, I finally figured it out. I would help people with my herbal studies.
As an herbalist, my goal is to assist people in building the general health and resistance of their body by providing nutrients and herbs that stimulate healing.
A lot of people think, “That’s easy enough”, but it’s really a lot more complex than one would think.
You see, each individual has unique metabolic differences, and what may stimulate healing in one individual may be ineffective or perhaps even harmful to another.
It’s important to have extensive knowledge of the human body, medications, illnesses, and diseases, along with extensive knowledge of herbs and foods because herbalists use a holistic approach.
We believe in helping the whole person, taking into account mental and social factors, rather than just addressing the symptoms.
Someday, I plan to continue my studies to become a Clinical Herbalist, but for now… I’m happy where I am.😊
